The Keynote Mobile Performance Index

Consumers have stated their threshold as two to four seconds for a page load on a computer. Keynote’s Mobile Performance Index shows that of nine sites measured, only two break the four-second threshold. Success rate, too, indexing slightly above 96 percent, is a far cry from the 99+% users are used to on their computers. It is imperative that sites are optimized for the slow speeds and small displays of mobile devices to achieve anything close to an acceptable user experience.
