SAN MATEO, California — August 27, 2002 — Following a very successful Global Internet Performance Conference in June in San Francisco, Keynote Systems (Nasdaq: KEYN) today announced the Global Internet Performance Conference (GIPC) East, to be held in New York City on October 27 and 28 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Times Square. Keynote's Global Internet Performance Conferences are the premier events for IT professionals charged with managing the performance of Web-based applications, e-business Web sites and infrastructure.

Keynote is expected to make announcements in the benchmarking, testing and application performance management areas of its business at the conference. Additionally, a free day of training on all of Keynote's services will be provided to Keynote customers on the first day of the conference on October 27.

With more than 2,400 corporate IT organizations using Keynote services across the country, holding the conference on a regular basis on both coasts makes it easier and more cost-effective for attendees to attend the conference of their choice.

The focus of GIPC East is to allow enterprise companies to achieve ‘Total Performance Management' easily and cost-effectively through services, while leveraging the tremendous financial investment in software and hardware they have already made in building out their e-business infrastructure.

Keynote's ‘Total Performance Management' strategy, unveiled at GIPC West in June 2002, is comprised of complete solutions delivered by Keynote and KeyPartners™ for benchmarking, testing and managing the end-to-end performance of e-business applications and systems. Keynote's services and solutions enable the enterprise to leverage existing management software, increase the number of satisfied online customers, reduce unnecessary capital expenditures, provide competitive advantage and deliver an optimal quality of experience to end users.

"Keynote has been an integral part of the Web performance management arena for some time," said Diane Feeney, systems programmer at UPS (NYSE: UPS). "Keynote's Global Internet Performance Conferences are industry events that provide thought leadership and innovative information to help companies manage the performance of e-business and maintain company commitment to delivering the highest quality of service to end users."

"FOXSports.com consistently focuses on ways to provide premium quality of experience for end-users," said John Gannon, Infrastructure Architect at FOXSports.com (NYSE FOX). "Keynote's Global Internet Performance Conferences highlight the very latest trends, issues and solutions for managing e-business performance, providing industry intelligence that helps FOXSports.com deliver the excellent quality of service our end-users expect."

Speakers will include noted analysts and industry experts, including Aaron Goldberg of Baseline magazine and Umang Gupta, chairman and CEO of Keynote Systems.

"To better serve our growing customer base across the United States, we couldn't be more excited about bringing the premier Internet performance management conference to the New York City area, where so many of our financial services customers are headquartered," said Arnold Waldstein, vice president of marketing and business development at Keynote.
