Reporters Can Now Receive Internet Performance Problem Data 24/7 From Keynote

Keynote's Public Services Division ‘On Call' to News Media Around-the-Clock; Recent Attack on Internet's Root Servers and Continued Cyber-Terrorism Threats the Cause

SAN MATEO, California — November 19, 2002 — In light of the recent and unprecedented attack on the Internet's root servers and continued cyber-terrorism threats, Keynote Systems (Nasdaq: KEYN), the Internet Performance Authority®, today announced that it would make Keynote's ‘Public Services' personnel available to news media on a 24/7 basis for reporting and analysis on Internet performance problems if and when they occur.

Second only to the telephone, the Internet is now a vital and instantaneous communications link for hundreds of millions of people in the United States and around the world. When the Internet slows or goes down millions of people are negatively affected. The Internet is now also a critical business component for many Fortune 1000 companies making the economic implications of even short Internet slowdowns or outages profound.

In the interest of the Internet-using public, Keynote will now make Web monitoring specialists available to news media around-the-clock when Internet performance-related problems occur that appear to be affecting large numbers of users.

To receive an application for Keynote's new "24/7 News Media Internet Performance Reporting Program" journalists should send an email to press@keynote.com. Criteria for inclusion in the program include that the applicant be a working reporter with a major news organization.
