SAN MATEO, Calif., — May 30, 2003 — Keynote Systems (Nasdaq: KEYN), The Internet Performance Authority®, announced today “Iraq War Web Lessons,” a presentation to be delivered by Eric Siegel, senior Internet analyst at Keynote, on June 12 at 3:00PM, at the upcoming E-Gov 2003 conference in Washington, D.C.
During the Iraq war critical government Web sites were on the receiving end of unprecedented traffic load. These sites provided breaking news and critical information to the public at large about the war, and to the loved ones of members of the U.S. armed forces. In the interest of the Internet-using public and to support its position as “The Internet Performance Authority,” Keynote provided near ‘round the clock data and analysis to media around the world for the duration of the war regarding Web site performance and availability for many important government and non-government Web sites.
Keynote’s Web performance experts and data were quoted and cited, respectively, in hundreds of media stories around the world including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and USA Today. How these important government Web sites performed under the pressure and the broader lessons to be learned about Web and application performance management and load testing is the focal point for Mr. Siegel’s presentation.
During his session, Mr. Siegel will draw on actual case studies as examples, and describe a cost-effective ‘best practices’ approach for application performance management and load testing that improves site performance and availability, while very often decreasing costs.
Additionally, Keynote will announce new services targeted specifically at the government market and host an exhibit booth at the conference in order to showcase its current Web monitoring, performance management, load, content and user experience testing services.
Keynote’s presence at the E-Gov 2003 Conference and Exposition, held in conjunction with Federal Computer Week, is demonstration of its continued commitment to meet the Web performance measurement and management needs of its growing base of customers in the government market.
E-Gov 2003 provides a unique forum for government and industry professionals to discuss strategies, explore new technologies and identify solutions for today’s public sector challenges.
