SAN MATEO, Calif., — September 28, 2004 — Keynote Systems (Nasdaq: KEYN), the worldwide leader in e-business performance management services, announced today that with the completion of its acquisition of Vividence, the leader in Web-based customer research, the company’s Global Internet Performance Conference (GIPC), scheduled for October 25 at the Westin New York at Times Square, will offer additional sessions specifically designed for marketing executives responsible for the online channel. The action-packed day will also include during a luncheon ceremony the announcement of the winners of this year’s Keynote Performance Awards for the fastest and most reliable Web sites in e-commerce, travel & hospitality and e-government. Senior executives from the winning organizations will be on hand to accept their awards.
Keynote recognizes that the drivers for e-business performance include critical issues and challenges relevant to both IT and marketing executives. The Keynote conference reflects this and offers attendees two tracks: one for IT executives and one for marketing executives. Keynote’s annual GIPC is the premier e-business conference for senior executives, including CIOs, CTOs, CMOs and Vice Presidents of operations, IT and marketing focused on improving e-business performance from both an operations and financial perspective.
This year’s conference theme, Broadening Your Perspective on Performance, underscores Keynote’s view, and the emerging view of many in the industry that e-business performance has grown far beyond simply speeds and feeds and now includes:
“This is an extraordinarily valuable conference for IT and marketing executives with online channel responsibilities. The sessions are rich in content with speakers from leading companies on both the IT and marketing sides of the house,” said Arnold Waldstein, vice president of marketing and business development for Keynote. This year’s session content underscores Keynote’s holistic approach to performance management which calls for IT and marketing executives to closely work together and improve e-business performance operationally and financially.”
Umang Gupta, Keynote’s chairman and CEO, will set the stage for the day with a talk entitled, A Holistic View of E-Business Performance. This will be followed by an executive roundtable moderated by Bruce Upbin, senior editor at Forbes Magazine, entitled New Perspectives on E-Business Performance. Executives already secured for the roundtable include Jennifer Bolt, CIO of Franklin Resources, Inc., Asiff Hirji, CIO of Ameritrade and Geoff Penney, recently retired CIO of Charles Schwab.
The executive roundtable session is followed by the IT and Marketing tracks.
