Application Perspective 3.0 provides e-business IT managers with a more efficient and effective way to communicate within the organization regarding the health of their e-business infrastructure.
The new version focuses on the building blocks of Keynote’s service level management solutions and creates a second to none repository of services to most effectively define and deliver expected service levels. Application Perspective is Keynote’s high frequency, affordable, self-service, outside the firewall, transaction-monitoring service available from multiple geographic locations, introduced in February 2004. The newly enhanced capabilities are being rolled out to over one thousand existing measurement customers and reflect Keynote’s ongoing commitment to continuously enhance the value of its subscription-based services.
Application Perspective 3.0 is one of the fastest growing offerings within Keynote’s portfolio of measurement and monitoring solutions. They are important components of Keynote’s service level management line of solutions that align e-business and IT goals to enhance operational performance, determine application readiness, define reasonable, yet aggressive, service level standards and deliver consistently upon them.
Application Perspective 3.0 delivers greatly enhanced service level reporting capabilities by enabling users to create and deliver high impact performance reports that are designed with the ultimate flexibility in format and delivery options. Version 3.0 also enhances the diagnostic capabilities in MyKeynote (the Web portal Keynote customers use to access their performance data) to include on-demand, instant transaction measurements for Application Perspective that provide deeper, more granular views into page level and content level data. Finally, Application Perspective 3.0 includes aggregated data storage and long term trending. Daily and hourly aggregated Web performance data can now be stored for up two years allowing for the immediate visibility of speed and reliability metrics over extended periods of time to easily evaluate long-term performance trends.

The new service level reporting features now
available include sophisticated graphing for speed, reliability and
detailed breakdowns by page, and the ability to search and view
historical reports for up to two years worth of data for
understanding long term performance trends. The new reporting
options included with Application Perspective 3.0 include:
New Diagnostic Features
The new diagnostic
features in Application Perspective 3.0 include the ability to
select existing Application Perspective transaction measurements and
conduct on-demand tests from any specified geographical location.
Upon selection of which instant transaction measurements to run, the
measurement results are returned in near real time for immediate
analysis. The enhanced service provides the flexibility to run
simultaneous instant transaction measurements from one or more
locations for geographical analysis.
Availability and Pricing
Application
Perspective 3.0 will be available at the end of the month and
provided to existing measurement and monitoring customers at no
additional cost. New customers can purchase the service for $100.00
per page/per month.
