Keynote Systems Announces the Availability of its On-demand Mobile Test & Measurement Network in 10 Cities Worldwide

  • Shared Mobile Infrastructure Offers Developers and Content Creators Insight Into the End User’s Experience and the Ability to Troubleshoot Quickly Via a Web Interface
  • Keynote Continues to Facilitate the Improvement of the Mobile Experience with Affordable Service Options; Access Begins at $500

CTIA, SAN FRANCISCO, — October 23, 2007 — Keynote Systems (Nasdaq: KEYN), the global leader in on-demand mobile and Internet test & measurement solutions for continuously improving the online experience, today announced the availability of its on-demand mobile test & measurement network in 10 locations worldwide. Keynote’s software-as-a-service offering gives developers and content creators the opportunity to improve the end-user’s mobile experience through advanced on-demand mobile Web testing and monitoring services on both emulated and real wireless devices at a low cost.

“The mobile Web holds immense promise for consumers and businesses, but in order for it to grow, the mobile experience must be first class. Our industry-leading test and monitoring services allow some of the biggest companies in the mobile realm to see how their customers experience their mobile content and rectify any issues quickly, with minimal impact to the end-user,” said Umang Gupta, chairman and CEO of Keynote. “Now, with our shared on-demand mobile infrastructure, smaller content creators and developers can enjoy the same insight and power as larger companies, not only leveling the playing field, but also improving the overall mobile experience for end-users.”

Engaging with the shared mobile infrastructure is easy and affordable; a company simply provisions the measurements it needs via a Web portal. For example, companies can now monitor the download performance of popular content in New York or test the execution of its upcoming streaming video applications in London to identify any issues prior to its launch. And because it’s all provided as a software-as-a-service model, all of the testing, troubleshooting and data analysis is done in real time from the customer’s desktops.

“As the mobile Internet grows, the end-user’s experience with mobile applications is a pivotal factor determining how quickly the market will thrive. In order for adoption to accelerate faster across a wider variety of consumer and business models, the effective monitoring and management of the real user experience is therefore imperative. The availability of Keynote’s shared mobile infrastructure allows companies to test out different mobile application business models for quality of experience, as well as for monitoring and troubleshooting in-production services,” said Dennis Drogseth, vice president of Enterprise Management Associates.
