SAN MATEO, Calif., — February 8, 2004 — Keynote Systems (Nasdaq "KEYN"), The Internet Performance Authority®, announced today it will host a multi-city series of free day-long Executive Summits devoted to 'Taking the Online Customer Experience into the Future.' The Keynote Executive Summits bring attendees face-to-face with the online executives shaping our future in a connected world. From thought leaders to case studies to roundtable discussions with peers, this is an opportunity to learn as they share their insights, opinions and even a few hard lessons from their own experience.
The series of four events begins on March 2, 2006 at 8:00 a.m. at the new St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco. Noted futurist Thornton May will provide the opening presentation to set the tone for the day. Cities for subsequent Summits will be announced during the year.
As the Internet evolves with increasingly complex interactive applications and technologies, line of business executives must answer these fundamental questions: Is your online presence properly aligned to exceed customer expectations? For the first Summit on March 2, after opening remarks at 9 :00 A.M. from Umang Gupta, chairman and CEO of Keynote, Thornton May, Director, IT Leadership Academy; Computerworld Columnist; Futurist, Author, Educator & Provocateur, will deliver the opening presentation, 'Connect, Converge, Collaborate: What the Future Holds for Your Online Business.' Thornton May is one of today's premier communicators in the information technology industry. His core competency is assisting executives in looking to figure out what comes after what comes next. A columnist at Computerworld, Thornton's insights have appeared in such publications as Harvard Business Review, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Business Week and on National Public Radio.
Following Mr. May, David Willen, CTO of Barnes and Noble.com (NYSE: BKS), will give a featured presentation on 'Merging the Best Practices of Marketing and Technology to Deliver the Optimal Online Customer Experience.'
Executives from Dell (Nasdaq: DELL), Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (NYSE: RCL), SAP (NYSE: SAP), Sun Country Airlines and Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) will also present case studies and join round table discussions during the day.
The Summit wraps up with a presentation on 'Customer Experience 2.0: What Does It Mean to You?' by Carol Carpenter, senior director product management at Keynote, and closing remarks by Keynote's EVP of Worldwide Customer Operations, Patrick Quirk and a cocktail reception.
