| MyDoom Worm; Update for Reporters from
Keynote, 1/28/04
The Internet dealt admirably
today with the effects of email traffic generated
by the MyDoom worm. Overall,
Internet performance remained in the range of normal
the entire day (1/28) based on the Keynote Business
40 Internet Performance Index, the leading indicator
of overall Internet health.
Keynote will be sending daily email updates through
Friday.
Keynote will be closely observing the Internet's performance
and how it deals with the MyDoom "payload" triggered
to take effect any time beginning on Super Bowl Sunday
(February 1) and continuing for 12 days.
We will send out two updates on Sunday (one in the
morning and one in the evening, pacific time).
