Progressive Insurance Ranks First in the Latest Keynote Insurance Scorecard
By Beth Robertson | January 16, 2015
Keynote is pleased to award Progressive top honors as the winner of our most recent Insurance Scorecard released in December 2014. For more than three years, Progressive has consecutively outranked contenders among the leading carriers in the nation. Keynote’s Insurance Scorecard is a best practices competitive benchmarking analysis providing a twice yearly ranking of the top 11 U.S. auto insurance websites and mobile delivery capabilities. GEICO, Liberty Mutual and Nationwide all tied for second place in the recent Scorecard.
A critical direction this year for insurance carriers is the “mobilization” of the customer and prospect experience. While most of the carriers reviewed in the Scorecard are fully enabled for online quote and bind, mobile quote and bind capabilities vary widely and are changing rapidly. But enabling an insurance purchase is just a piece of the digital experience being enabled by today’s leading carriers, as functionality to support tasks like reporting a claim, seeking roadside assistance, or getting a quote to replace a vehicle becomes more sophisticated in both online and mobile environments.
Using its Scorecard to rate carriers’ abilities to acquire and service both online and mobile consumers, Keynote identifies and highlights trends and best practices in the digital delivery of insurance products. As the Scorecard leader, Progressive continues to push forward with mobile delivery using responsive design, and it is the only Scorecard carrier to offer online and mobile quote and bind in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Progressive has also made a variety of enhancements to its user interfaces, improving claim and repair tracking processes and adding online chat to support customers accessing the carrier’s secure site.
